We have two lives.  The life we live and the lives we are capable of living.

Steven Pressfield The War of Art

Hey, welcome to my website, my little space in the internet rabbit hole. I hope you dive in and find what you are looking for.

I work with people who are struggling in relationships. I bet you might be in a couple or a few.  Relationships are HARD. There are times we want to be with others and times we don’t. People can bug, hurt, and frustrate us. Sometimes, they hurt us intentionally; other times, it’s unintentional. People twist what we say, impose their issues on us, and can be as prickly as porcupines. Well, and we can be too.

We often struggle because we do so much to please people and be kind or understanding, yet we cannot understand how they can be so cruel. This can spiral into feelings of defeat, depression, and self-doubt, making us want to hide from all of humanity feleling defeated possibly defective.  You might find yourself on the couch wrapped in a blanket watching whatever is on TV being completely collapsed.

But there is hope. You can break free from this cycle. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. We will identify your triggers, understand what’s important to you, and discern what you can change and what you cannot. You will feel supported and capable. We will discuss where you hold power because often, we give that away out of fear or lack of discernment. Both power and fear are crucial in your life and how you manage them.

Healing takes time. Healing from interpersonal relationship trauma is not a linear process. You will grieve parts of yourself and your relationships as you oscillate between feeling empowered and feeling vulnerable. I will be your support and cheerleader as you grow into the authentic you that you want to be. This journey may be arduous and fear-filled, but it will lead to moments of peace and serenity.

This path is not for the faint of heart. Like any unlit, scary, dark forest path, we will venture as far as you are willing to go at any given moment. I am excited to work with you and get to know you. Get ready for a life you didn’t think was possible.

As we go within the self, we discover that all the voices of our past lives are still there. As we peel ourselves, which is a process very much like peeling and onion, we discover that there are many selves within the self
